Almost half of a year later. And I return.
So much has happened...
Too much to contain the human attention span in a journal though, haha. If anyone even reads this anymore or at all...
But I digress...
Short and sweet:
- Megan's dad got diagnosed with cancer, he underwent successful surgery but was in ICU for 2 weeks. Had to be strong for her and her mom who was home all alone.
- My 1997 Ford Interceptor blew up. Horrible... horrible... Family stress w/ borrowing cars and swapping cars
- My grandmother passed away... it was hard of course. But a lot of internal conflict with myself ensued over the loss. Mostly as to why I maintained such an emotionless demeanor and how I dealt with it much easier than I thought. I began to feel distanced from the rest of my family, not helping with that I really kind of was. Both at home and with everyone else. I became introverted. Disappointed at myself. And ashamed.
- I got promoted at Sears to full-time. Raise. 40 hours a week. Benefits. But also, our security level went from an 8 to a 12. And Sears measures 1-16. So much more work as well. It's been a struggle overall with the job though, increased stress, particularly on me from my boss. And of course decreased Megan time...
BUT. Megan graciously handed ownership over to me for the time being of her 99' Chevy Blazer until I get a new car, which in 2 weeks I should have a 2003 Ford Interceptor from the police auction. WOOOO! So from that point of re-establishing my freedom & independence, it started to get better from there on.
I've just been taking it easy. Working. Spending time with my woman. And of course bringing all the guys back together. Sean. Lavalley. Brandon. Derek. Josh. Ben. Nick. And all the rest of 'em... They boys have come to like Megan a lot, and so we've been partying it up most every weekend. Either that or going to Evie's to drink and just bullshit.
I just had an amazing weekend. It was Megan's 18th birthday Saturday! (She's finally legal! Hehehe
I picked up my camera.
And we went to Wilson Park.
And I began to push that shutter button.
It had been awhile since I felt that satisfying feeling when you compose something JUST right.
And along with the warmer weather.
I do believe I'm back.

Thanks.

I was thinking some sort of woodsy-nature theme would be a nice contrast to the Jamestown shoot. I'm not quite sure where that would take place, though. Let me know if you have any places in mind. I'll prolly call you Saturday/early Sunday. Grazie!
